Annette is employed at the Bishop Hucles Nursing Home and the Lucille Rose Adult Day Health Care Program as Office Coordinator and also an Assistant Minimum Data Set key punch operator (MDS). Annette is a very active member in St. Philip's Episcopal Church, a member of the women's guild, the January birthday club, Harvest committee, Union of Black Episcopalians, Episcopal Church Women and assists where ever she is needed.
An active member of the Barbados Democratic Labor Party (D.L.P.) she held the post of Secretary for the last 10 years and assisted in fundraising for the less fortunate. Annette is a fully paid Silver Life Member of the Brooklyn NAACP and serves as Treasurer, a past President of the Brooklyn Prospect Heights Lions Club in which she held several positions including: of President, Membership Chair, Board Member, Lion Tamer, Tail Twister, Secretary, First Year Director and Chairperson of several committees. Annette also sings in the District 20K-1 Choir.
Among her accomplishments they include coordinating a picnic in Prospect Park for five physically and mentally challenge homes, walking to bring awareness and raise funds to combat breast cancer, and serving as a member of the Community Advisory Board of the Dr. Susan Smith McKinney Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she makes a difference in the
lives of the residents.
Annette community work and achievements have been recognized by the G&B Foundation, the NAACP along with Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion and U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer. |
