What is "in-district lobby day"?
Earlier this year, Brooklyn NAACP traveled to Albany along with NAACP members from across the state to meet with legislators to advocate on behalf of our communities. On Friday, June 5th we are asking our members to schedule meetings with their legislators back home in their district office to further speak up on important issues.
Who are we meeting with?
Our current focus is to meet with state legislators (Senators and Assembly Members) before the session ends on June 17th however we also have important pressing issues before the New York City Council and Congress.
