NAACP CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
The NAACP will celebrate its one-hundredth anniversary on February 1, 2009 and will convene the 100th Anniversary Convention in New York City July 11- 17, 2009.

On August 20th 2008 the Brooklyn NAACP in association with the Brooklyn Borough President & New York City Department of Education gave out 1,000 Book Bags and School Supplies to NYC public school children.
