Brooklyn NAACP takes to the streets
on #WorldAIDSDay

Brooklyn has had the highest percentages of new HIV/AIDS diagnosis and Blacks and Latinos represent 80% of new infections. Nearly 29,000 Brooklynites are living with HIV/AIDS and a a large portion of new diagnosis are in the Brooklyn communities of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, Williamsburg, Bushwick and East Flatbush.

Volunteers with the #BrooklynNAACP Health Committee are hitting Brooklyn subway stops this evening in the communities hardest hit by new HIV/AIDS diagnosis to hand out condoms and a tip card on #WorldAidsDay
