2014 Branch Elections

Brooklyn NAACP will elect branch officers and at-large members of the executive committee on November 19, 2014. In order to qualify for the purpose of running for office, those interested must be a member in good standing with the branch. A member in good standing means the person must be a paid member of the Brooklyn Branch by April 1, 2014, and must live and/or work within the branch jurisdiction.   Read more

A Unified Statement of Action to Promote Reform and Stop Police Abuse

In a joint statement released on Monday, the NAACP joined with 12 other leading national civil and human rights organizations in calling for action and reforms in the wake of the police killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.
