Rev. Joseph J. Jones is the third son of the Rev. and Mrs. G. T. M. Jones, Sr. He was formally educated in the public school system in Brooklyn , N. Y. Upon graduation from Samuel Tilden High School with honors he volunteered to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he was honorably discharged with the rank of Private First Class. Rev. Jones immediately acquired employment at the Kings County District Attorney's Office, where he is gainfully employed for the past 26 years in a variety of positions. Currently, he is employed by Mr. Charles J. Hynes as the Boro- wide Clergy Liaison for the Kings County District Attorney, which oversees all houses of worship in the Brooklyn area regardless of denomination. He is also the Community Specialist for the Brownsville area

Rev. Jones furthered his education and acquired his Associate's Degree in paralegal Studies with and ABA approved status. He has completed his Bachelor's Degree in Theology, and his Master's Degree in Theology and Divinity from the Lighthouse Community College . He has also received and honorary Doctorate from Alliance Bible Seminary in May 2008. Presently, he is the Co-Pastor of the Greater Zion Shiloh B.C., where his father is the Senior Pastor. He is a vigorous advocate for the proper education of our youth, believing that no child should be left behind, left out or lost in any way. He has taken on the voluntary role of being a speaker for several public schools, junior and high schools during his work with the Legal Lives program managed by the Kings County District Attorney's Office.

In his career at the Kings County District Attorney's office Rev. Jones has worked in various capacities such as the Supervisor of the Summons room for Brooklyn , which provided aid and order of protection for Domestic Violence victims. He was also the former assistant director of the Citizen's Action Bureau which works to educate the Brooklyn community to agencies, and governmental offices that are able to assist Brooklynites. He was also the Director of the Project Respect Program, S.T.A.R. Program (Saving Teens At Risk) and the E.P.I.C. program (Ending Prostitution In Our Communities) for the D.A.'s office, which addresses the problem of prostitution in the Brooklyn community. He is working with several community and judicial leaders including the late Rev. James Davis with the “Stop The Violence Movement, Sen. Eric Adams, Congressman Edolphus Towns , Assemblyman William Boyland, Assemblyman Karim Camara , Assemblyman Darryl Towns, Criminal Court Administrative Justice William Miller, Supreme Court Administrative Supreme Court Justice Neil Jon Firetog, Supreme Court Justice Plummer Lott, Civil Court Justice Shawdya Simpson, Civil Court Justice Evelyn Laporte and Civil Court Justice Robin Shears and Rev. Al. Sharpton just to name a few.

He is a member of the N. Y. Missionary Baptist Assoc., Inc. and was recently appointed as the Chairman for the Religious Affairs Committee for the NAACP . He is working with other agencies such as United We Stand (Aiding Families with Disabilities), The N. Y. State Baptist Convention, and the Progressive Baptist Convention along with the African American Clergy and Elected Officials where he presently serves as the Chairman of the Presidential Communications Bd. and the 83 rd , 79 th , 90 th , 73rd Precinct Clergy Councils Rev. Jones labors tirelessly to provide opportunities, access and information to enlighten our youth, while giving assistance and information to anyone who needs it regardless of the problem. . Rev. Jones understands that you can only do as much as you know how to do. He believes that with the right knowledge it is grants the individual real power. Rev. Jones is married to Armeisha Denise Jones and has one daughter Gabriella and another child arriving in August. Rev. Jones declares emphatically that all he accomplishes is to give glory to God.
